If you are selling your home it must have carbon monoxide detectors installed.  The appraiser will not finish their appraisal until they installed.  If they are not in place when the appraiser comes out, the appraiser will have to do a re-inspection after they are installed.  They typically charge $100-$150 to do a re-inspection.
